The British like nothing more than moseying over to France to pick up a glorious old wreck for a few thousand pounds and then refurbishing it. Rescuing French ruins might appear a laudable pastime, but it is not that simple, according to The Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB).
The organization is launching a course to teach bodging Brits how to avoid destroying our Continental neighbor's heritage.
