Nice Jazz Festival lineup announced

With the rising costs of music stars' salaries the result is shorter festivals with less variety at the Riviera jazz events. Luckily this does not mean big increases in the cost of tickets to the punter. Tickets for this year's Nice Jazz Festival cost 39 Euro (in advance) and 35 Euro on the night.

Howver, from Cannes to Monaco festival organisers are having to juggle schedules, as the purse strings are tighened. In an interview with Nice Matin, Viviane Sicnasi, organiser of the renowned Nice jazz festival said it is increasingly difficult to find the billboard stars to attract revellers to the event as they come at a high price. In fact, the big name salaries rose by 147% in just two years.
