While their landscapes and light have inspired many a painter, their soil gives rise to an enormous palette of flavours, from aïoli to truffles, not to mention candied fruits, savoury herbs and many wines. It is not surprising, then, that Provence and Languedoc-Roussillon are synonymous with good eating, warm sun and the easy life - a feeling we share whenever we taste wines like these.
