Rumours have begun to circulate that the port on the island of Porquerolles will need to close for the summer.
The pontoon has needed urgent repair works since 1999 and the Conseil Général, who controls the port, must produce a plan of action to appease uncertain locals. As yet, it is uncertain whether certain parts of the port are to be closed or whether the repairs may be postponed for another year.
