New figures have revealed that more than half a million citizens of the United Kingdom now own property across the Channel. From the Côte d'Azur to the surf off Biarritz, from the rugged, dry hills of the Languedoc to the rolling fields of the Pas-de-Calais, the new wave of British second-home buyers is not so much arriviste as déjà arrivé.
