Voiles Latines regatta in Saint-Tropez

The French leg of the international circuit of the Voiles Latines regattas sets sail today May 11th-14th with the cream of the nostalgic yachting scene taking to the calm waters of the gulf of Tropez.

All types of traditional boats, from typical Provencal pointu fishing boats, to catalanes, feluccas and Italian gozzi will descend on the pretty port of Saint-Tropez, of Brigitte Bardot fame.

Of interest also is a village open to the public made up of artisans and professionals who construct boats and deck out yachts using traditional and modern marine wood techniques.
