Provence through the eyes of Cezanne

The 17th century monastery on the slopes of mount Saint-Victoire looks just as it did when the painter Paul Cezanne saw it for the first time.

The wonderful panorama from the monastery of the Provencal countryside reaches as far as the distant Mediterranean.

Lavender, rosemary, pine trees and of course the sound of cicadas line the route to the top as it did when the young Cezanne first explored 'his' mountain.
